Starting out as a two piece instrumental in September 2005, by the end of the year Dan Rose completed the line-up and The Fugitives began to develop their sound. Drawing on a wide range of sources, they create a dark and melancholy atmosphere which then explodes into strangely infectious melodies.

Their fusion of film-score influenced samples with more traditional alternative rock creates a truly unique live tone, and this distinctive audio experience is complemented throughout all their performances by their striking visual presence and style.

The Fugitives are currently putting together an album at Yellow Arch Studios but are taking time out to exhibit a selection of band photography at Red Gate Gallery, where they will also be performing two live shows (Friday 31st July and Saturday 1st of August).

Previous shows include The Cavern Club in Liverpool, various venues around Sheffield, and also the Magna Steel Works with the Kaiser Chiefs for ‘Love Music Hate Racism’ (an organisation that they have supported and played for several times before).

The Fugitives:
Dan Rose: guitars, bass, vox
Gareth Shaw: guitars, bass, backing vox
Peter Dowson: drums, samples
