Every Tuesday at 9pm, Rear View Music host an open mic night at the The Black Rose Tavern in Rose Street.
We have a selection of musicians who have been supporting the Edinburgh Alternative Open Mic night since we started a few years ago as well as some fresh new talent that have recently come to take part. So if you haven’t been before, or even if you have, you’ll always hear something you haven’t heard before.
As always, anything goes, sing your own, sing a cover, play a tune with someone you have never even met before, you never know, it could be the start of the next big thing!
This is the only open mic in Edinburgh that actually encourages you to jam along with your buddies, or maybe people you don't know. It's a great lively atmosphere.
The main thing is that we all enjoy ourselves and raise a glass in the process.
If you want to hear some great music, or come down and join in, bring your instruments or play our house guitar and enjoy a great night of talent with some excellent people, musicians and audience alike!
This open mic is undoubtably the most open and most friendly in the city!
