Intervention and Prevention Family Mentoring Project is currently recruiting Volunteer Mentors to support Families in Salford who have a variety of needs.
Mentoring is a 1-2-1 relationship, offering support and encouragement to another person to facilitate positive progressive and lifestyle change.
Mentors must be; smart in appearance, a positive role model, non-judgemental, understanding, discreet, self motivated, be able to strike up a conversation and keep it flowing with ease, as well as the ability to listen.
We are extremely keen to hear from individuals who have past experience of working with families, either adults or young people with specific knowledge or experience of working with people in the following areas; Housing, Finance, Substance Misuse, Employment & Training, and Family breakdown.
You should be able to give at least 1 hour of your time every week and ideally this will be weekdays.
