The Brocken Spectre Ceilidh Band is a youthful ceilidh band who play a combination of traditional and modern Scottish music.
Our repertoire covers the entire spectrum of Scottish Traditional music, from old time Gaelic waltzes and peurt a’ beul of the Hebrides, to the modern pipe and fiddle music of the Scottish Highlands and Lowlands.
We have been playing together for over 3 years and have played for a wide variety of different functions from bars and restaurants to weddings and parties. Our speciality is ceilidh dances and we can play for a wide variety of different dances including poplular dances like Strip the Willow and the Eightsome Reel and some more unusual ones like the Flying Scotsman. We can call all the dances so that everyone can take part.
We can play for ceilidhs, parties or as background music; we can call the dances ourselves, and even demonstrate, for newcomers to the vibrant world of Scottish dancing, providing an entertaining and enjoyable evening for everyone.
We are available for hire for functions, weddings, parties and dances and are able to tailor our music and pricing to suit your requirements.
